Hope everyone is having a grand day today! I have been loving the digital images I bought at Aurora Wings created by the talented artist Mitzi Sato Wiuff. If you haven't checked out either the Etsy store or the Aurora Wings store stop by she has something for everyone. I had a blast coloring this image called "Unicorn Sprite" she is adorable. I like to think outside the box a bit so instead of a traditional unicorn I made her into a "nightmare inspired" unicorn. I'm entering this card in the #69 Aurora Wings Challenge "Anything Goes". https://aurorawingschallenge.blogspot.com/2018/07/challenge-69-anything-goes.html Without Further ado..... I present Uni (You) Give Me Fever....

Aurora Wings Hyacinth Sprite
I hope everyone is having a grand day! If you have not seen the images from Mitzi Sato Wiuff at Aurora Wings you are missing out. She has created the most lovely fairy, sprite & mermaid digital images for us to color. So today, I present to you Hyacinth Sprite.
I will be entering her in the #68 Aurora Wings Challenge. We were to share our favorite fairy tale theme. Well, maybe not exactly considered a fairy tale, but I grew up with my mom and grandmother reading me stories from two prominent authors/artists of their time.... Most of you are probably familiar with Cicely Mary Barker who wrote The Complete Book of the Flower Fairies (see pictures below) and many other break off versions. And, one perhaps that isn't as well known, but I remember fondly was Vegetable and Fruit Children by Edna Groff Deihl and illustrated by Vera Stone also known as Aunt Estes Stories. (see pictures below) They all reference fairies in either poems or stories and are fantastic. My inspiration comes today from the polyanthus & grape hyacinth print from Cicely.. However, I didn't want to stick with the more usually accepted color of hyacinths and went with a more peachy color and I left out Polyanthus so you will just have to pretend she is there.
I kept my card simple for the simple reason that Hyacinth Sprite is the star of the card and I didn't want to detract or draw the eye away from this adorable sprite. So without further ado......
Here are more pictures of the card that I have created today....

Panda Bayou
I am having so much fun playing with Lawn Fawn's new die Bayou Backdrop!
This time I went the route of use the backdrop as bamboo. I cut the leafy vines more straight like bamboo used my Copics to kind of create a bamboo look and then used two of the leafy dies that came with Bayou Backdrop and created the leaves for the Bamboo. I also used Lawn Fawn's adorable Party Panda set, which I got for my birthday:) So adorable. I decided to make a shaker card out of the final version it was so fun to make! I used the Lawn Fawn Windy Background Die too, but you can't see it from the pictures. Look at the bottom picture to see the finished card:)
