The Red Violin

Hi, hope everyone is having a grand day today!  I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Red Violin performance at the Orpheum Theatre last night.  Elizabeth Pitcairn is beyond amazing, her bow work is flawless, and the "Red Violin" Stradivarius she plays brought tears to my eyes.  It is definitely the inspiration for today's card.

I started out by stamping Penny Black's gorgeous rubber stamp called, "Music Collage" onto Georgia Pacific cardstock.  You can find that image and more at www.PennyBlackInc.com or www.PBstamps.com

I colored the image with the Copic Markers below.

For the Sketch Markers since the picture is a bit shiny... I used YR30, Y13, YR14, YR18, E25, YR24, YR21, T9, T3, T7, T4, T1 in no particular order...

I then used my favorite SpellBinder's die.  Grand Nestabilities Labels Four with a light yellow cardstock and a Yellow/Gold Bazzill Cardstock.  The Ribbon is Offray.  Now for the fun part:)

I glued everything together with my go to glue Art Glitter's Designer Dries Clear.

This time however instead of using the Ultrafine Metal Tip for this part of the project I used one of Art Glitter's fantastic glue paintbrushes.  I don't believe they are listed on the website, so if you want them you will have to call Art Glitter at 928-639-0805 to request them.

I usually use Robert Simmons brushes, but have found that my paintbrushes don't handle the glue well like the Art Glitter glue brushes do.  They were specially formulated to work with the glue and they are wonderful!

I then used Art Glitter's Designer Dries Clear Adhesive & UltraFine Metal Tip to write the Calligraphy on the bottom of the image, the dots, and the piano keys.

I used Art Glitter's Ultrafine Opaque Glitter in Black for the dots, calligraphy & piano keys.

I used Art Glitter's Ultrafine Transparent Glitter in Halo for the rainbow effect on the labels four area.

I used Art Glitter's Ultrafine Transparent Glitter in Orange Crush for the rainbow effect on the Labels Four area and for the main image color.

I used Art Glitter's Ultrafine Transparent in Lemone for the ribbon edges and the rainbow effect in the Label Four area of the card.

I hope everyone likes the finished project as much as I do.  Thanks for stopping by!

XO Pamela
